DRONE CONSULTANCY & TYPE CERTIFICATION

From concept to certified flight.

Engineering, testing support and documentation for UAV programmes seeking DGCA Type Certification.

WHY IT MATTERS

Engineering support for Type Certification.

Certification is where many drone programmes stall. We work alongside drone startups, OEMs and research teams to produce the design data, analysis and documentation regulators expect — and coordinate the tests that prove it.

THE CERTIFICATION JOURNEY

Six checkpoints to a Type Certificate.

We can support every checkpoint, or only the ones you need. Each step builds the evidence the next one depends on.

  1. Checkpoint 01

    Gap assessment

We review your drone, data and documents against the Type Certification requirements, and list what is missing.

  2. Checkpoint 02

    CAD & design data

Models, drawings and design data that describe the drone as it will be certified.

  3. Checkpoint 03

    FEA/CFD analysis

Structural, aerodynamic and thermal analysis to support your design claims.

  4. Checkpoint 04

    Lab & flight testing

We plan and coordinate tests at accredited third-party labs, and support flight testing.

  5. Checkpoint 05

    TC documentation

Technical files, manuals, guides and compliance reports, aligned with DGCA, FAA and other global standards.

  6. Checkpoint 06

    Submission support

We help you assemble and check the submission package before it goes to the regulator.

SERVICES

Three ways we support your Type Certification.

  • Lab Testing Assistance

We plan, book and witness EMI/EMC, vibration, thermal, battery, environmental and material tests at accredited third-party labs.

  • TC Documentation

Technical files, flight manuals, SOPs, maintenance guides and compliance reports, aligned with DGCA, FAA and other global standards.

  • Flight Testing & Audit Support

Test protocols, flight-data evaluation and quality readiness, so your programme is prepared for flight tests and audits.

TC DOCUMENTATION

The documents your Type Certificate depends on.

We prepare documentation aligned with DGCA, FAA and other global standards, and keep it consistent with your design data and test reports.

  • Technical files and design documentation

  • Flight manuals and SOPs

  • Maintenance and inspection guides

  • Compliance reports

  • System architecture documentation

FLIGHT TESTING & AUDIT SUPPORT

Ready for flight tests and audits.

We support your flight testing and internal audits, so the evidence holds up when it is reviewed.

  • Test protocols

Flight-test protocols written for your drone and the requirements it must meet.

  • Flight-data evaluation

Review of the recorded flight data against the test protocol.

  • Quality readiness

Internal audit support to check that processes and records are ready for review.

AEROCERT

Prefer to build the Design Document yourself?

Try AeroCert. Do it yourself with AeroCert, or let our engineers do it with you. AeroCert turns your drone's technical data into an audit-ready Design Document and flags every gap before submission.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Which drone categories do you support?

We support Micro, Small and Medium category drones. Tell us about your drone and we will confirm the route that applies to it.

How long does Type Certification usually take?

Typically 2–5 months, depending on the drone and test readiness. This is a typical range, not a guarantee. We give you a plan after the gap assessment.

Do you work with foreign OEMs?

Yes. We work with foreign OEMs preparing their drones for DGCA Type Certification in India.

What do you need from us to start?

Your drone's basic specifications (category, maximum take-off weight, dimensions and intended use), any CAD models or drawings, the bill of materials, existing test reports or flight data, and your target timeline. If you don't have everything yet, we start with a gap assessment and tell you what's missing.

NEXT STEP

Book a certification readiness review.

Tell us about your drone and where your programme stands. We will review it with you and outline the next steps.
